São Paulo is a modern place, full of style and attitude, isn't it? That's why buildings need to be very well presented, and architect David Libesking knew this when the time to build Conjunto Nacional came. That's because it was 1958, just imagine it now, with all that freedom of expression and the internet full of memes. Designed as the first shopping center in Latin America, the place received the Fasano restaurant as its first tenant. Is it a joke? Today the building has 66 stores and the traditional Livraria Cultura – the largest bookstore in the country – as well as the Eva Herz Theatre.
