Avenida Paulista is not just a stage for demonstrations and the Show da Virada, no. There are a lot of good things there. One of them is the Museu de Arte de São Paulo (São Paulo Museum of Art), MASP, established in 1947 by Assis Chateaubriand. It's the first modern museum in the country, and that's not surprising with Lina Bo Bardi's design. It's ample and relies on “open space”, thought exactly to be like a square for people. Completely out of the box, the museum brings art to the public in a light way, in which the visitor chooses which way to go to discover the exhibitions.
