MIRANTE 9 DE JULHO: FROM NEGLECT TO THE SPOTLIGHT
Sao Paulo
Carlos Comenale street - Bela Vista
It's not only your sweetheart who leaves you, no. Mirante 9 de Julho also suffered this disappointment, went through loneliness, the pain of contempt, and all this lasted 76 years until it finally overcame the situation. From neglect to the spotlight, from forgotten to one of the favourite spots in the city, it had his turnaround and came out on top, like a true Mirante.
Opened in 1938 to be a space with a hall, observatory, and viewpoint, the 9 de Julho tunnel had its plans interrupted. But it has risen from the ashes and today it has a restaurant, café, and a multicultural space where you can observe urban art, watch outdoor films, participate in independent fairs, and enjoy musical projects. Totally unmissable in the centre of SP.
