Casa Isolani is one of the most curious palaces in Bologna not only for its brick structure framed by wooden beams.
There are three arrows camouflaged with the brown wooden ceiling that conceal a quite curious story.
Accused of adultery, a beautiful woman risked to be struck by the arrows of two archers, but the plan studied by her jealous husband just didn’t work, as the arrows were shot and stuck into the house’s ceiling.
When the woman looked out the window and saw the archers, she took off her robe and remained completely naked. Needless to say, the marksmen got distracted and missed the target.
