Parma River

Parma is not only a city in the Italian region of Emilia-Romagna. Its name also indicates a river, an affluent of the Po River, which crosses the city and its district. Like the city that it is named after, Parma the river is also feminine. You’ll find a third Parma, though, but it is a bit further away: close to Cleveland, Ohio. The city was once named Greenbriar, but it changed name as proposed by David Long. During a trip in Italy, the American doctor fell so much in love with the beautiful lady Parma that he decided to bring back a part of Her, as a souvenir.
