The very high windows illuminating Piazza San Marco are those from the Olivetti Shop. Adriano Olivetti wanted a new showroom in Piazza San Marco to exhibit his typewriters and the first computers produced in Ivrea and in 1958, Carlo Scarpa created a light and resplendent new gem. The exhibited objects seem to be suspended in a vacuum on the floors and the steps of the central staircase to be fluctuating in space. Thanks to the transparencies, the flourescent slices of light on the ceilings and the balance of the internal space, the original dark and narrow space gleams with all of its historical and architectural value, onto the Piazza di Venezia.
