Aberdeen

Hazlehead Park

Family need to let off steam? Hazlehead Park is the answer. Originally part of the Freedom Lands granted to the city by Robert the Bruce, the Park opened to the public in 1920. Some 80 hectares in size, there’s something here for everyone – Scotland’s oldest maze planted in 1935, walks, golf courses, picnic areas, pitch and putt, football pitch, horse-riding school, a children’s play area, pets corner, interesting sculptures and a superb rose garden. Had enough fresh air? Enjoy a relaxing moment at the coffee shop with its kids’ menu.
