At the east end of the harbour is the old fishing village of Footdee (or Fittie, as it’s known to the locals). Stroll from square to square and see the charming houses and gardens, many with panoramic views out over the North Sea. And if you’re very lucky, a group of seals or even a pod of dolphins may be playing around the harbour entrance, so take a camera just in case!
