The Tomba dei Giganti (tomb of the giants) di Su Mont'e s'Abe is an archeological site in the Olbia area, similar to others across the island.
The funerary monument is dated to the Middle Bronze Age: 1800 years before the birth of Christ, this 28 meter-long and 6 meter-wide tomb, large enough – as its name suggests – to contain a giant, was built. A lid was placed above its rectangular shape, and a memorial stone was placed at its center.
Excavations carried out during the 1960s have brought back to life this important trace of Sardinia’s prehistoric civilization.
